I grew up watching my mom cooking every night and baking constantly. Everyone was always impressed with her baked goods and commented how she ALWAYS outdid herself. So I thought, "How do I get that same attention?" I started to offer assistance in the kitchen. Whether I was in the way or not didn't matter to me - I was thrilled to be a part of the cooking experience! Now, cooking is part of my entire family. My brother became a chef working in Northern California. My Dad, well, he has tried, but at least he enjoys eating what we create! I found love in cooking and decided to share my biscotti with you.
...why Biscotti?
I will never have the greatest answer to this question, other than it just happened. I made a batch of biscotti and brought some to share at a coffee house where I worked. I had such a great response that I decided to play around some more in the kitchen and see what I could come up with. After trying the biscotti at other cafes, I got tired of eating ones that tasted like baking soda, and so I set out to create biscotti that have amazing flavor in every bite! My biscotti not only is full of flavor, it also has a secret ingredient... LOVE! (I guess it's not a secret anymore.)
